Amy has always had a passion for helping others. Her background includes working in mental health and education. She has seen the power of pets in helping children and adults to overcome obstacles and to learn important life lessons. By pairing her passion for helping others and counseling with animal assisted activities, she has founded Helping Paws Healing Hearts. Children listen, students maintain the lesson and adults love the interaction with the dogs.

Amy has visited schools in Tennessee and Georgia with her co-workers, Daryl and Larry.  

Amy has her Ed.S in Administration and Supervision and her Masters Degree in Counseling. She works full time with Cleveland City Schools as Director of Coordinated School Health and also runs her Helping Paws Healing Hearts business.  

Amy has presented at several conferences. Educators are always looking for something new and exciting to catch the attention of the students. Helping Paws Healing Hearts is just that.
