Amy has always had a passion for helping others. Her background includes working in mental health and education. She has seen the power of pets in helping children and adults to overcome obstacles and to learn important life lessons. By pairing her passion for helping others and counseling with animal assisted activities, she has founded Helping Paws. Children listen, students maintain the lesson and adults love the interaction with the dogs. Amy has began traveling to schools in Tennessee and Georgia with her co-workers, Daryl and Larry. Together, they are having a wonderful time meeting new friends while reaching and teaching children. Amy has her Ed.S in Administration and Supervision and her Masters Degree in Counseling. She works part time as an elementary school counselor with Cleveland City Schools and also runs her Helping Paws business. Amy resides in Cleveland, Tennessee with her husband Wes and Daryl and Larry. Amy has been invited to participate in several conferences and present her program and has received rave reviews.
