Helping Paws was privileged to visit Camden Elementary, Holladay Elementary, Briarwood Elementary and Big Sandy Elementary in Benton County, Tennessee in April. We had a spectacular visit. All of the children were such wonderful students, very respectful and fun to get to know. We especially enjoyed teaching everyone, "Larry says Listen!" It was two days of fun learning, listening and meeting new friends. Special thanks to Mr. Lucas Jones for setting up the visit and to all the principals who were so accommodating and welcoming! We hope you enjoy looking at some of the photos from our visit.
Trip to the home of the Braves!! February 29, 2008
Trip to the home of the Braves!! Helping Paws celebrated Leap Year with a wonderful visit to West Side Elementary in Rossville, Georgia. The day was perfect and all of the students were so kind and well
mannered. We really were appreciative to have the great gym for the
day...thanks for sharing your space with us Daryl and Larry enjoyed meeting all of the boys and girls in Pre
K-5th grade. The lessons taught were the importance of LISTENING and
PERSEVERANCE. Thanks for inviting us to be Braves for the Day
What a great time we had visiting Daisy Elementary School in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee in November. Mr. Kirk Shrum, one really cool principal, invited us as a reward for his "Principals Book Club" members. Students in Pre K-5th grade, who had read the selected book of the month and completed the assignment from the principal, were rewarded with a visit from Helping Paws. We had two sessions and the children ask wonderful questions about the process of writing a book. Keep up the Great Reading Daisy Elementary School!!
We had a great time meeting the boys and girls at Vonore Elementary School in Vonore, Tennessee on October 25th to celebrate Red Ribbon Week. Special thanks to Mrs. Pam Phelps, one great
school counselor, for coordinating our visit! It was a great day and
Larry enjoyed meeting everyone. A special thanks to the students who
brought in donations all week to give to the Monroe County Friends of
the Animals. Thanks for caring about shelter pets
